Hunk? TV makes me look good says Nick
TV HOST Nick Knowles yesterday insisted that he is not looking for romance in the jungle.
The 56-year-old lothario broke up this year with girlfriend Rebecca Kearns, 30 years his junior, after eight months together.
He has been on dates with Towie star Pascal Craymer, Lark Rise To Candleford actress Olivia Hallinan, 33, and author Julia Suzuki, 42.
The single SOS DIY presenter was divorced from 30-year-old wife Jessica Rose Moor in 2016.
He is seen as the housewives’ heartthrob, but he says TV makes him look good. Knowles said: “Honestly it is kinda hilarious, like if you film any bloke for 10 days and edit it into 60 minutes, you can make them look really lovely and sexy.
“I think possibly some of the interest is the fact that I look like a bag of spanners on TV, I’m not primed like most TV presenters and I do look a little like a bit of a Neanderthal.
“I think for anyone who likes the boy next door I’m definitely not it.
“I don’t think at 56 I’m gonna be lighting the touch paper of anybody’s imagination. I’m actually quite happy being single at the moment.”
As he prepares for the jungle, the father of four said: “I’m looking forward to it as an adventure and as an opportunity to get to spend some time with people that I wouldn’t necessarily find myself sort of with for any length of time.”
Yesterday presenters Holly Willoughby and Declan Donnelly enjoyed lunch on Australia’s Gold Coast as they prepare for the start of the show on Sunday. And the show’s Medic Bob said that Holly is more scared of snakes and spiders than “all the contestants put together”.
