Kremlin poisoners linked to two more suspected killings in Britain

- By News Reporter

DETECTIVES investigating the Salisbury novichok poisonings have evidence linking the Kremlin to at least two suspected murders.

Having dismissed relatives and friends, Scotland Yard’s counterterrorism command SO15 is now re-examining the deaths of Scot Young, 52, and Alexander Perepilichnyy, 44.

Mr Perepilichnyy died after blowing the whistle on fraud.

He ate Russian soup before vomiting and collapsing outside his Surrey mansion in 2012. Scot Young was involved in murky dealings in Russia and knew some of its critics.

He was found impaled on railings at his central London home four years ago.

SO15 is thought to have gathered evidence that agents from the GRU intelligence agency travelled to Britain at around the same time.

The Met Police is expected to admit deaths previously dismissed are “suspicious”. It is believed the recent exposure by leaked passport data of suspected GRU agents has given Scotland Yard new clues.

Alexander Mishkin and Anatoliy Chepiga were identified as GRU officers who travelled to Salisbury to poison ex-double agent Sergei Skripal and daughter Yulia.

Yesterday, another Salisbury victim, Charlie Rowley, 45, said he is losing his sight, has heart trouble and has had strokes.
