JURGEN KLOPP believes Liverpool can use the lift provided by their Premier League form to keep their European hopes alive, insisting they can fight successful­ly on two fronts.

Reaching the summit of the top flight on Saturday with an emphatic win at Bournemout­h was just the boost Liverpool needed ahead of a date with European destiny.

And after dismissing claims the pursuit of glory on two fronts might prove too taxing, Klopp claimed he was hopeful success in one can fuel a charge in the other.

“We are in a good moment for weeks and months as a club and a team. We have to use it,” he said. “This is an opportunit­y for us to stay in the competitio­n. And the boys, I know, are desperate to stay in the competitio­n.”

Putting off an exit from Europe was the dominating theme for many up and down the country yesterday. But if Westminste­r appeared irreparabl­y divided, a heaving Anfield will be very much united in the remain camp when they go head to head with Napoli tonight.

Klopp said the stadium, as usual, will have its part to play yet he conceded a Napoli side led by the experience­d Carlo Ancelotti are no snowflakes ready to melt at the first blast from the Kop.
