Of course they fall for their partner, dancing is so sexy says Darcey

- By Peter Dyke

DANCES on Strictly involve so much touching it’s only natural that celebs fall for their partners, judge Darcey Bussell says.

In the latest series, comedian Seann Walsh was caught in a passionate, drunken clinch after a night out with dancer Katya Jones.

And there are rumours that YouTuber Joe Sugg is now dating dance partner Dianne Buswell.

But former ballerina Darcey reckons it’s easy.

She tells The Graham Norton Show on BBC TV tonight: “It’s just unusual for people to be so tactile and not to think you are coming on to them – it’s the job and dancers are used to it but perhaps other people get the wrong idea.”

Yesterday all the Strictly Come Dancing finalists appeared on the Chris Evans breakfast show on BBC Radio 2, with the DJ telling Ashley Roberts he thought the public had been “unfair” to her.

The former Pussycat Dolls star and dance partner Pasha Kovalev have been in the bottom two for the last three weeks after failing to secure enough public votes, despite high scores from judges.

Asked how she is going to “win over” viewers, Ashley said: “We’re going to give it our all.”

Joe Sugg revealed he would honour his pledge to colour his hair the same bright red as partner Dianne if he made it to the final.

He told Evans: “It was a practice run last night with the spray but it will be the full thing on the night.”

Fellow finalist Stacey Dooley was praised by her dance partner Kevin Clifton as the most improved celebrity he has danced with during his years on the show.

TV investigator Stacey joked: “I was rubbish at the start.”

Clifton said: “We upped our hours, we’ve been doing 14-hour days of training ever since. She’s just got better and better.”

Faye Tozer confessed that she had longed to be partnered with Giovanni Pernice.

“When we first started, we had a speed dating dance-off where we had to join in and dance with the boys,” she said. “I actually felt the strongest with Giovanni.”

Graham Norton Show, BBC One, 10.35pm; Strictly’s Grand Final, BBC One, tomorrow at 6.30pm.
