Deulofeu, below, was one of the Watford scorers when they thrashed the Blues 4-1 at home in February, Chelsea’s last visit to the Hornets.

It was a stunning result in manager Javi Gracia’s first home game in charge and winger Deulofeu said: “That’s a good memory. I hope it will be the same game, though we know it will be a tough game.

“But we play at home and Chelsea know what it’s like to play at Watford’s home.”

Despite his home debut being such a memorable occasion, Gracia insisted he had consigned it to the past. He said: “That

Vwas a good game. It was my first home game and it was special. But it’s the past. Now is another game. It’s different.

“We know it will be very demanding for us because we’re playing one of the best teams in the league. And we don’t have much time to recover and prepare.

“It’s not easy because they have very good mechanism to attack. And they have very good players with different options.

“They’re good players, a very good squad and I’m sure they will play the best way they are able to.

“But we are able to compete and win.”
