Dress to impress...style queens who stole show
STYLISH stars stole the show as they stepped out to celebrate the best in film and television.
They may not have won best actress gongs – but they certainly were among the best dressed on the night.
Heidi Klum, 45, left little to the imagination in a floor-length pale grey halter neck gown at the Golden Globe Awards after-party.
Mary Poppins Returns star Emily Blunt, 35, looked stunning in a grey high-neck lace dress with a sheer bodice by Alexander McQueen.
But her film failed to secure any of the five awards it was nominated for – including the best actress in a comedy or musical gong for which Blunt was nominated. It went instead to Olivia Colman.
Nicole Kidman showed that age is no bar to beauty in a floor-length red sequinned dress by Michael Kors. The 51-year-old actress wore her blonde locks in a bun and teamed it with a metallic globe bag.
The Crown star Claire Foy, 34, also referenced the night’s theme in a plunging golden gown by Miu Miu that sparkled with sequin stars.
But it was Kate Beckinsale, 45, who really stood out from the crowd in a lace and tulle gown by Norwegian designer Aadnevik which featured a boned bodice and playful tiered skirt.
Rachel Weisz, 48, who presented the best actress award to her co-star Olivia Colman from The Favourite, was a picture of elegance in an off-theshoulder dress with ruffles.
Her monochrome look was also favoured by actress Amber Heard, 32, who hit the red carpet in a strapless Monique Lhuillier design.
