● ZOE – the world’s first virtual personal cruise assistant – is being launched on MSC Cruises. Found in every cabin, the voice-enabled device is programmed to answer more than 800 frequently asked questions about the MSC Cruise experience in seven different languages.
As soon as guests say “OK Zoe”, the 24/7 guest service is ready. With far-afield microphones and advanced voice recognition, she can provide details about onboard services, give guidance and make bookings.
Developed in partnership with Harman and Samsung Electronics, guests will also have the opportunity to connect their phones directly to the device through Bluetooth to enjoy music and podcasts in their cabin.
Gianni Onorato, MSC Cruises’ CEO, said: “There was a core guest need to be met, which was to find answers to common questions in a quick and easy way. We researched the latest technologies and identified voice assistants and artificial intelligence as the way to meet this need and the work on ZOE began.”
