Queen’s a ray of sunshine after Philip gives up his licence
THE Queen brightened everyone’s mood in her yellow outfit yesterday as she went to church in the rain – a day after Philip gave up his driving licence.
The 92-year-old monarch smiled as she got out of her chauffeur-driven Bentley wearing a raincoat over the brightly-coloured outfit with its matching hat.
She was greeted outside St Mary Magdalene church on her Sandringham estate in Norfolk by wellwishers huddled under umbrellas.
There was no sign of Prince Philip, 97, who surrendered his licence after the car he was driving collided with a Kia on a nearby road last month. He could face prosecution.
Mary Relph, 84, from Shouldham, Norfolk, who was in the crowd said: “It is perhaps for the best [he gives up his licence].”
Meanwhile, Prince Harry belted out the National Anthem ahead of England’s rugby clash with France at Twickenham yesterday.
It was his first public appearance since the details of Meghan’s letter to her father were revealed.
