Sew lucky...dog who had a needle in neck
A DOG feared to have a brain tumour has made a full recovery after he turned out to have a needle in his neck.
The owners took Yorkshire terrier Toby to the vet after noticing he was having seizures.
A vet in Beauly, near Inverness, suspected the 13-year-old might have a brain tumour and took X-rays of Toby’s head. But it turned out he had a 3in sewing needle lodged in his neck, piercing his spinal cord.
Toby was operated on at the University of Edinburgh’s Hospital for Small Animals.
His owner Alexander Jamieson said: “We’re delighted to see him back to his old self.”
