Cut huge salaries to fund free licences for over-75s

THE BBC must be short of cash to think about ending free TV licences for over-75s (“End of free TV licence ‘would see elderly cut back on food’”, February 8). One night last week, during peak-time viewing, there were four repeats on BBC1. Cut some salaries and try again.
