Harford hat off to Luton

- HOME AWAY

LUTON interim boss Mick Harford believes his league leaders have earned their place in the history books.

The Hatters saw off Wycombe 3-0 at Kenilworth Road to make it 19 league games unbeaten and equal a 50-year-old club record.

James Collins chalked up his 19th goal of the season, with substitute George Moncur scoring a late brace to keep Luton six points clear.

Harford said: “I take my hat off to them, they fully deserve it because the way they have gone about their business in that run has been amazing.”

Portsmouth fell further behind the automatic promotion places after a 1-1 draw at Plymouth, while Joey Barton says Fleetwood have put themselves in with a shout of gatecrashing the play-offs after a 1-0 win at Bradford. “We don’t fear anybody,” he said.

AFC Wimbledon are still cast adrift at the bottom of the table after going down 2-0 at home against Burton. Dons boss Wally Downes said: “It is a gargantuan task.” 1 Man City 2 Liverpool 3 Tottenham 4 Man Utd 5 Arsenal 6 Chelsea 7 Wolves 8 Watford 9 Everton 10 West Ham 11 Bournemouth 12 Leicester 13 Crystal Palace 14 Brighton 15 Burnley 16 Cardiff 17 Newcastle 18 Southampton 19 Fulham 20 Huddersfield
