Guard: I used star’s phone to find his girl’s body

- By News Reporter

A MUSIC festival worker who found the body of the daughter of Holby City star John Michie told a court how he used a photo on the actor’s phone to identify her.

Security worker Craig Welsh used a Google Maps pin to trace the last known location of Louella FletcherMichie, 24, but tragically by the time he got there she had died of a drug overdose.

Jurors at Winchester Crown Court heard he found her “curled up”, looking like she had “laid down for a sleep” in woodland at the edge of the Bestival site.

Mr Michie, 62, and his wife Carol, 68, arrived at the site in Lulworth, Dorset, on September 10, telling staff their daughter was having a “bad trip”.

When the couple were refused entry, Mr Welsh offered to borrow Mr Michie’s phone to find the last known location of Louella and her rapper boyfriend Ceon Broughton, using GPS.

By the time Mr Welsh reached Louella’s body it was too late. Her lips had turned blue and her arms were crossed across her body, “almost like she was cold”.

Mr Welsh said: “I found a photograph on [Mr Michie’s] phone to identify the girl.”

Fellow security worker Aiden Lawrence said Broughton had been “erratic” when he finally went to find help, adding he had joined Mr Welsh after Louella’s body was found. Broughton filmed his girlfriend after she took hallucinogenic drug 2C-P, as her condition worsened and even allegedly after she died.

Broughton, of Enfield, London, denies manslaughter and supplying class A drugs.

The trial continues.
