Scholes is wary of Jose

PAUL SCHOLES claims Jose Mourinho will be watching him closely at Oldham because of the way the former England player savaged him at Manchester United.

Scholes was the Portuguese’s fiercest critic and is now in the firing line after moving from the BT Sport pundit’s chair to the dugout.

“I think he’ll be watching results,” said Scholes. “I’ve left myself wide open because I have been quite critical.

“The pundits can say what they want [to me]. I have never really understood why players and managers take notice of what pundits say anyway.”

Mourinho’s successor, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is amused at the recent turn of events.
