SHAMIMA BEGUM left Britain four years ago with two school friends to join the Isis death cult. Once in Syria she married a dangerous IS butcher, lost two babies and is now pregnant with a third which she says she wants to have in Britain. This hard-hearted jihadi also says she has no regrets about going to Syria and wasn’t the least bit fazed when she saw her first severed head in a bin.

She even justified the slaughter of Western hostages claiming they were a threat to the Caliphate. But now the Caliphate has been smashed and Shamima has nowhere to go and guess what? Having betrayed her country – and done God knows what else – she wants to come back and have her baby in a nice, free NHS bed?

Well sod that! We don’t want her back here, nor do we care what happens to her. She chose to go and live alongside a bunch of murdering savages and she now needs to learn that actions have consequences.

This woman forfeited her right to British citizenship the day she fled Britain to join the cult that rapes and murders women, buries children alive and hacks the heads off anyone who opposes the Caliphate. And even if she hasn’t actually fought she – and others like her – were smack -bang in the middle of the slaughter by choice and so supported it.

But what’s farcical is her demand to “Bring me home”. What kind of arrogance, what sense of entitlement makes her imagine she can just waltz back into Britain and take up her old life like the past four years of slaughter were just a teenage phase?

Well it wasn’t – not when Whitehall officials say women jihadis are every bit as big a security threat as men because most will still be radicalised, still hate the West. And because our hard-pressed security services simply don’t have the time or the resources to monitor or rehabilitate them.

The fact is, as decent human beings, these jihadis are finished. And I don’t care if she’s a British citizen. The law allows ministers to strip citizenship from those deemed “not conducive to the public good”.

And Shamima Begum isn’t. We have no idea how involved in terrorist activity she was. She’ll never tell us the truth and neither police nor security services will ever be able to find out. We’d only have her word and the security of this country should not be put at risk on the word of a traitor. And forget all this tosh about how she was a naive teenager and didn’t know what she was getting into. Sorry, but Shamima and her friends were Grade-A students who joined IS when the murderers were proudly posting videos online of the Western hostages they’d beheaded and burned alive. So they knew exactly what they were getting into.

More than 150 British women are believed to have travelled to Syria to join terrorist groups and many are suspected to have been involved in some of the worst violence. But even those who didn’t kill or torture were married to men who did. Crucially, they now have children who will also be radicalised – which is why they must not be allowed back. Home Secretary Sajid Javid has said he will not hesitate to prevent the return of people who left Britain to join terror groups. I want to believe that but I fear the Government will let as many back in who want to come because our terror laws aren’t tough enough. And although citizenship can be revoked it rarely is.

Last year MI5 boss Andrew Parker said Britain faced the worst terrorist threat he’d seen in decades. Which is precisely why people like Shamima Begum need to be kept as far away from our shores as possible. She left this country because she hated it. She now needs to learn how to live with the consequences of that!
