FIT TO BE KING Charles, 70, shows off his beach body
PRINCE Charles showed off his impressive physique and his support for the tourism industry by going swimming at a popular beach in Barbados during a day off from his royal tour of the Caribbean.
Surrounded by sun worshippers on the public beach in the west of the island, the heir to the throne displayed a stylish pair of floralprint swimming shorts.
The 70-year-old Prince was joined by his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, on Monday’s beach excursion. The royal couple strolled along the sand, with matching towels from the luxury villa where they have been staying, before going for a swim.
Charles was spotted up to his thighs in the water and emerging from the sea after a dip.
Camilla, 71, who struggles on official duties in the heat, flew out to the Caribbean early to acclimatise.

She went for a swim on her own before returning later with Charles, wearing a dark blue one-piece swimming costume on the beach, a popular haunt for celebrities who are regularly photographed there.
Earlier, the couple’s Scotland Yard bodyguards had walked up and down the beach, searching bushes and checking the surrounding area.
The royal couple have embarked on an 11-day tour of the Caribbean which began with a brief visit to St Lucia by Charles on Sunday.
That evening he flew to Barbados to be reunited with his wife before they spent a quiet day on Monday.
Official figures for the cost of the tour – undertaken at the request of the British Government – will not be published until the Royal Family issues its annual report in the summer, but the estimated bill to the taxpayer is around £150,000.
The Prince and the Duchess will also visit the island nations of St Vincent and the Grenadines, St Kitts and Nevis, Grenada, the Cayman Islands.
They will also become the first members of the Royal Family to make an official visit to Cuba on the tour.
