Christian still at crossroads

CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN has been left in limbo because of his contract stand-off with Tottenham.

Spurs have offered Eriksen, below, a deal worth £200,000 a week but his representatives are not even willing to get round the negotiating table. Eriksen, 27, has made it clear he is interested only in a move to Spain but neither Real Madrid nor Barcelona have come in for him. Real could still make a move before the La Liga transfer window shuts on September 2 but have given no indication they will. It means Spurs risk losing the player for nothing next summer while also not being certain if he will be at the club next week. Eriksen was dropped to the bench for the home defeat by Newcastle after a poor performance at Manchester City.
