POLITICS and sociology student Jemmar Samuels, from London, is a passionate campaigner for race and gender issues.
The 22-year-old creates videos, gives public talks, facilitates workshops and writes articles to raise awareness of the discrimination faced by immigrants and women of colour in the UK today.
She is a Commonwealth Youth Peace Ambassador for the UK.
Last year she won the Children’s BAFTA Content For Change award for her short documentary film What Do You Mean I Can’t Change The World?
“The Diana Award has provided me with lots of opportunities to continue doing the work that I love to do,” Jemmar said.
