Steel jobs safe

YORK-BASED British Steel subsidiary TSP Projects has been bought by French engineering giant Systra, preserving over 400 jobs.

The Official Receiver, which took control of British Steel when it collapsed into compulsory liquidation in May, said the deal had no impact on the proposed sale of the remaining British Steel, including Scunthorpe steelworks.
