Wilder backs Lampard to be Three Lions boss
CHRIS WILDER believes Frank Lampard is an England manager in the making.
And he says the Chelsea legend would be as successful in picking a Three Lions team as he was playing in one.
Lampard’s achievements over a 15-year career with the national side make for impressive reading.
He scored 29 goals in 106 appearances before calling time on his international career back in 2014. Former midfielder Lampard, 41, is
Vback at Stamford Bridge in charge of the Blues after a stunning entry into management with Derby 15 months ago. He guided them to the Championship play-off final, which they lost to Aston Villa in aWembley thriller.
Lampard is now plotting another period of success for Chelsea with Sheffield United boss Wilder, whose newlypromoted Blades take a trip to the Bridge today,
predicting: “It’s 100 per cent certain for me that Frank can be a future England manager.
“He has already showed he has all the attributes to be a top manager and take his career further. He did brilliantly at Derby, and I’m backing him to do the same with Chelsea.”
