Setting out details of the Government’s new national bus strategy, he will announce an expansion of low-emission vehicles and plans for the country’s first allelectric bus town.
And he will commit £5billion to improve broadband and mobile connectivity in the poorest-served parts of the country.
Mr Javid will offer £50million to develop one or two all-electric bus towns or cities and make more information available to app developers so that fares and location data on buses nationwide will be available to passengers online.
The Chancellor also wants better information for passengers at bus stops and will work with operators to ensure that all buses accept contactless BORIS Johnson has revealed plans to plough £13billion into the nation’s biggest hospital building programme in a generation.
His “great geyser” of Treasury cash will replace crumbling sites and outdated equipment without using private finance initiatives.
Speaking as he visited a hospital in Greater Manchester, the PM said: “This is the moment to invest payment. Ahead of his speech, Mr Javid last night said: “Investment in our infrastructure will be key to making the next decade one of renewal – boosting our economy and making life easier for people all across the country.
“That’s why I am announcing in the NHS for the long-term. It’s one of the reasons why we need to honour the mandate of the people, get Brexit done on October 31. But we can’t wait. That’s why we are announcing this now.”
A first phase starts immediately with £2.7billion for six hospitals, in London, Leeds, Leicester, Epsom, Harlow and West Hertfordshire, to be open by 2025. The remaining new investment in roads, bus services and broadband today: the first step in our plans to deliver an infrastructure revolution.

Scanners and screening kit over 10 years old will also be replaced.

Culture Secretary Nicky Morgan said: “I am delighted that we will invest £5billion to bring gigabitcapable broadband to those hardto-reach parts of the UK ensuring that rural areas are not left behind.
“Our country’s digital infrastructure is essential to our future economic growth and productivity and we want everyone in the UK to benefit from worldclass connectivity.”
Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said: “Whether you’re taking the kids to school or travelling for business, the transport network is essential to everyone.
“That’s why I am delighted that we’re investing in our roads to cut journey times and boost local growth.”
