Lawyer ‘groped’ by boss
A JUNIOR lawyer broke down in tears after claiming she woke up to find her married boss groping her in bed.
The woman told a misconduct hearing she woke to find senior partner Ryan Beckwith, 41, of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, on top of her.
She alleges the attack occurred after drinks at a pub opposite the firm’s central London offices earlier that night on July 2, 2016.
She had started drinking at 5pm before Beckwith followed her into a taxi to her home just after midnight, the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal heard.
Speaking from behind a screen, the woman said: “I think I had so much to drink that I was unable to push him off or anything like that.”
Father-of-one Beckwith has branded her allegations a “complete fabrication” and denies breaching professional standards.
The hearing continues. SUSANNA Reid rubbed Piers Morgan’s nose in it with three TV awards – while her Good Morning Britain co-host failed to get nominated.
Piers, 54, had a face like thunder as he branded his on-screen partner the “Ant and Dec of breakfast TV”.
Talented Susanna, 47, grinned as she clutched her trio of gongs while hosting GMB alongside Piers.

She was crowned Best TV Presenter and Best TV Personality at the National Reality TV Awards on Monday. GMB was also voted Best Talk Show.
Although the mother-of-three did thank Piers in her acceptance speeches, her sidekick tried to downplay her achievements when the pair were reunited on air yesterday.
He said: “It remains a mystery just exactly what these awards are, or who organises them, or what they are about, or even how you vote.
“I am about winning. Apparently we are the best talk show and I actually do a talk show and didn’t even get nominated. This is not actually a talk show.”
The GMB crew further goaded Piers by coming to work in specially made white T-shirts emblazoned with Susanna’s smiling face.
Susanna who reached the final of Strictly Come Dancing in 2013, wowed at the London awards bash wearing a short silver sequined dress.
Struggling to carry her gongs, she joked: “This is one I am most proud of. It’s a shame Piers didn’t win this, but it’s absolutely thrilling that I did.
“But in all seriousness I’m nothing without him. I’m just glad I don’t have to spend the night with him as well as the morning.”
The single mum juggles gruelling 3am starts each morning while looking after her sons Sam, 17, Finn, 15, and 14-year-old Jack – her children with ex-partner Dominic Cotton.
The couple separated in 2014 after 16 years together.
