Wilder has saved my sanity
GOOD on Chris Wilder, Sheffield United’s manager, for reacting to a howler by his goalkeeper at the weekend by saying: “I’m certainly not going to put my arm around him and rub his head. He has to get on with it. He’s gutted. He’s a good keeper. He has to learn and move on from his mistakes.”
In an age in which our obsession with “mental health issues” has put feeling a bit fed up on a virtual par with schizophrenia, Wilder’s common sense was a rare blast of sanity.
