BA air rage passenger trial halted
THE trial of a passenger accused of attacking cabin crew on a flight was adjourned yesterday after she was referred to a mental health unit.
Emma Langford, 47, of Hook, Hampshire, denies attacking three cabin crew members on a British Airways flight to Cape Town last December after being refused a drink.
Langford has admitted charges of being drunk on an aircraft, behaving in a threatening manner towards aircraft crew and criminal damage.
She was due to stand trial at Uxbridge magistrates court.
Meena Shinh, representing Langford, said: “She is not fit to attend. She is actually in a rehabilitation centre.”
Langford was bailed until December.
