David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson are missing but Mitch Buchannon and CJ Parker remain in this 2017 remake. Dwayne Johnson is now the main man with Kelly Rohrbach as the blonde bombshell. The storyline? Well, for those who care, a veteran lifeguard breaks in some new recruits – including an insubordinate former Olympic swimmer (Zac Efron, right) – while he also has to contend with a dangerous new drug sweeping the beach. Easy viewing for a Wednesday night.
