Lifestyle: Eat Well For Less? BBC1, 8pm

This will be of particular interest to youngsters who have moved away to university or, indeed, their parents. In Bristol, flat-sharing undergradu­ates Dylan, Ben, Roo and Louis seek advice from Gregg Wallace and Chris Bavin (both left), on improving their diets. Roo is a coeliac and Ben a vegetarian, so they shop separately and rarely cook or eat together. Expensive tastes and a love of brands mean that they’re blowing their student loans on pricey pesto and pasta. Plus, Chris goes to Durham to see what the difference between boxed and bottled wine actually is and dietitian Priya Tew discusses plantbased diets and the potential benefits of eating less meat.

Documentar­y: Warrior Women, C4, 10pm

Oscar-winning actress, author and producer Lupita Nyong’o (left), uncovers the truth behind the women who inspired the Dora Milaje of Marvel’s film Black Panther. Travelling to Benin in West Africa, Lupita reveals the stories of the real-life warrior women who fought African and European powers alike from the 17th to the 19th centuries in the Kingdom of Dahomey, centred in the modern-day country of Benin. Definitely one to watch.

Drama: Doc Martin, ITV1. 9pm

Drama series, starring Martin Clunes (above, left), as a surgeon who is forced to retrain as a GP and takes up a post in a sleepy Cornish village, where he finds himself at odds with the locals. Martin investigat­es after local farmer Dennis Thorpe shoots at Robert for taking some of his eggs. Emily returns to the surgery after her acne medication causes a bad reaction, and a secret bidder buys the Crab and Lobster pub.

Crime: Catching Britain’s Killers: The Crimes That Changed Us, BBC2, 9pm

The crime documentar­y reveals how a 1970s miscarriag­e of justice, involving three teenagers led to a new method of police investigat­ion. When Maxwell Confait’s body was found in south London, three local boys confessed to arson and murder and were convicted, despite retracting their statements and protesting their innocence. Jenny Price (right), tells how her dad, the late Christophe­r Price MP, campaigned to clear their names.

Film: Hitman: Agent 47, Film4, 9pm

The latest in a long line of geneticall­y engineered clones bred to be the perfect assassin takes on a mission that strikes close to home. A corporatio­n intends to use the technology that created him to build an army of superhuman killers. As the assassin fights to bring them down, he uncovers the dark secrets surroundin­g his origin. Action thriller, starring Rupert Friend (above), Hannah Ware and Zachary Quinto.
