Murray and Co serve up lines from film before hitting the glory trail

ANDY MURRAY and the British team warmed up for the Davis Cup finals by quoting lines from Frozen as they seek their own sequel this weekend.

Dan Evans held back giggles in the pre-event press conference as the double Wimbledon champion told critics of the revamped competition to “let it go”.

Kyle Edmund and new boy Neal Skupski also dropped in Disney excerpts before facing the Netherlands in chilly Madrid today.

Evans said: “We have both had a good week’s practice – can’t hold it back any more – and get it going on the match court.” Edmund said: “Fear will be our enemy.” The correct quote from the film is “Fear will be your enemy”. Skupski added: “If we do get called upon, we’ll just have to be the player we always have to be.”

Jamie Murray was supposed to say: “The cold never bothered me anyway” but choked under the pressure.

The relaxed atmosphere showed Leon Smith’s team are not exactly frozen with fear before taking on the Dutch team, who lost to Kazakhstan yesterday. It promises not to be a feature-length match but none of them will be winning

Oscars for pre-tournament performances.

The European premiere of Frozen 2 was in London on Sunday – and will go on general release in the UK on Friday – six years after the original broke all box-office records for an animated film.

Great Britain won the Davis Cup in 2015 under Smith but are outsiders to win back the trophy in the new week-long format this week.

At France 98, England players had bets on who could get most song titles into interviews. Asked about the

England training camp, Gareth Southgate told Bob Wilson: “It’s not exactly Club Tropicana, Bob. You are not going to get any Careless Whispers from me about the team.”

And after one win, Alan Shearer said: “We are not exactly Dancing on the Ceiling.”

The new format comprises two singles followed by a decisive doubles if the opening matches are shared.
