STAR Wars actor Mark Hamill has used his Jedi powers to help make a dying man’s wish come true.

The 68-year-old, who plays Luke Skywalker in the movie franchise, responded to a tweet from hospice workers caring for a StarWars fan.

The unnamed patient was desperate to see The Rise Of Skywalker – the final instalment in the saga – but is unlikely to live until its December 19 release date.

Staff at Rowans Hospice, near Portsmouth, went online to ask if anyone could help – and were stunned when Hollywood star Hamill replied. Disney’s chief executive Robert Iger then got in touch and a special screening – with added stormtroopers – was held at the hospice.

The delighted patient, who watched the film with his wife and son, said: “I want to say the biggest thank you to everyone that has made this happen. I still can’t believe it. “You have helped to make some wonderful memories and bring some joy to my family.”
