‘I won’t hide from anybody’
Undefeated Dubois flattened Kyotaro Fujimoto in two rounds to make it five successive KOs in 2019, and the rising heavyweight star wants to take on his fellow Londoner next.
Joyce, 34, was ringside at the Copper Box Arena in the capital, and Dubois said: “Bring them all on. I’m not hiding from anyone.”
The 22-year-old, who now possesses a 14-0 career record, added the vacant WBC Silver belt to his WBO International crown and claims he can soon earn a world title shot.
“If I keep collecting these nice belts, I won’t be too far away,” said Dubois.
“These fights are going to get me into a mandatory position and then my promoter, Frank Warren, will do his job for me.
“He will pave the way for me and I’ve just got to walk the path.” Dubois and Joyce have been circling each other for months and the 2016 Olympic silver medallist is up for the bout too.
“I’m ready,” said would be a great get it on.
“I don’t have a problem. I’m ready to rumble. Throw some figures at me and we’ll make the fight.” Warren believes the next outing for Dubois will be in his Greenwich backyard at the O2 in April and
Joyce. “It fight, let’s he has promised to deliver Joyce or another big name.
“The Joyce fight is one all the fans want to see,” said Warren.
“We are going to do a big show in April, which will feature Daniel, and I’m hoping it will be a big fight for him.”
Dubois was at his devastating big-punching best against Fujimoto, who is ranked 13th by the WBA, and hurt him with his first jab.
The 33-year-old Japanese boxer sensed his opponent’s power and tried to keep out of range, only to go down when he walked straight on to a piston-like jab in the second.
Fujimoto got up, only for Dubois to detonate a huge right in his face for a showreel knockout.
“I landed a sweet shot and that was good night,” said Dubois.
