ISCO CAN TURN BLUE FOR £44M

- By Paul Brown By Tony Banks

WILLIAN has urged football to kick out the racists because the sport is shamed when players like Antonio Rudiger are targeted.

Chelsea defender Rudiger complained he was the victim of monkey chants during Sunday’s 2-0 win at Tottenham, with referee Anthony Taylor forced to briefly stop the game.

Spurs have launched a full investigation and will ban anyone found guilty of racially abusing the Germany centre-half.

“It’s a shame,” said Willian, who scored both Chelsea goals. “We have to find a solution to stop these kind of things.

“Does more need to be done? I think so. The people that did this to Toni have to stop coming to the stadium.

“We are there on the pitch to do our best and to do our jobs. It’s difficult when these things happen.

“When we are on the pitch, we have to stay focused and leave the decision to the referee.”

Three separate announcements were made over the public address system declaring that racist behaviour was “interfering with the game”, and it is understood the alleged abuse did not continue.

The victory meant Chelsea bounced back from a home defeat to Bournemouth in style with Willian, below, taking his tally to four league goals this season.

That is more than he managed in the whole of last term, and he admits his latest strikes were all the sweeter coming against Chelsea’s arch-rivals.

Willian said: “It’s special to score in every game, but in a derby it’s different. We have to keep up the momentum now.”

The Brazil winger’s future remains in doubt, with his contract running out and no sign of any agreement on a new one.

But his only focus matches behind closed doors, one suspended for two years, and fined £65,000 for the abuse of England’s players on October 14. NOVEMBER 3: Mario Balotelli kicks the ball into the stands in protest at abuse against Verona. DECEMBER 5: Italian daily paper Corriere Dello Sport is accused of fuelling racism with its headline ‘Black Friday’ alongside pictures of Lukaku and Chris Smalling. DECEMBER 7: A man is arrested on suspicion of “a racially aggravated public order” offence during the Manchester derby. Play is halted between Forest Green and Scunthorpe.

DECEMBER 21: The PFA calls for government action after three stadium announcements reporting abuse during Spurs v Chelsea, with Antonio Rudiger allegedly the target for ‘monkey’ chanting. is making Chelsea more consistent after their patchy recent form – and turning Stamford Bridge into a fortress again on Boxing Day against Southampton. The Blues also lost at home to West Ham at the end of last month. Willian, though, believes the Blues are starting to show the personality that manager Frank Lampard demands.

He said: “We have to do exactly the same job we do when we play away.

“We have to do it at home. At home we have to win. We have no other option. “We cannot go up and down any more. We have to win games to stay at the top. I think we can do it. “This win was very important. We did a great job from the first minute. “These games are all about mentality and how we fight for every ball in every situation. “We did everything to win this game.

CHELSEA have been offered the chance to sign Isco in a £44million deal by Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants are trying to offload players to make way for a move for Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen next month.

Spain midfielder Isco, 27, above, has struggled to pin down a regular place under Real coach Zinedine Zidane.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has a £150m transfer kitty to spend next month but Manchester City are also reportedly interested in the three-times Champions League winner. Chelsea are also keen on Borussia Dortmund’s England striker Jadon Sancho – but not at £100m.

The Stamford Bridge club have also earmarked Crystal Palace striker Wilfried Zaha and RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner.

Danish midfielder Eriksen is still refusing to sign a new deal at Tottenham despite Jose Mourinho wanting him to stay. Eriksen will be free to talk to foreign clubs next week with his contract running out in the summer.
