Rhian out to brew up Swansea storm

RHIAN BREWSTER says he has lived every child’s dream by training with Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane at Liverpool.

But the 19-year-old striker says he had to leave Anfield for a loan spell at Swansea to give himself a chance of joining Jurgen Klopp’s star trio in the first team.

Ahead of the Swans’ Championsh­ip match with Wigan, Brewster said: “I’ve learned a lot from Sadio, Bobby and

VMo. Training with them every day is one of the best things because of the quality they show on and off the ball – it’s second to none.

“It’s the dream to play for Liverpool week-in, week-out. But quite a few teams wanted me when I put it out there I wanted to go on loan.

“I thought Swansea was the best option. It’s nice to wake up and see the beach. It’s very cold though!”

IT IS not just on the pitch where Martin Dubravka has been hitting the right notes.

The Newcastle goalkeeper is much more than a safe pair of hands – his fingers are pretty nimble, too. Because when it comes to Toon heroes, Dubravka is top of the charts, preparing for games by playing the piano at his Tyneside home.

“I’ve been playing for a few years now,” he said. “It helps me relax. I can’t read notes but I’m quite good.”

Not quite as good as some Newcastle fans may think after a clip on social media showed Dubravka reeling off Blaydon Races on his keyboard. “That is me playing,” he said. “But the music is an overdub.
