PICKS OF THE DAY

-

Fantasy: Good Omens, BBC2, 9pm

Netflix subscribers may already have seen this series as it was available online in May last year but those who have not will need to sort out which of the 9pm shows to watch and which to record. White House Farm has proved to be superb on ITV, we feel invested in the Meat The Family project on Channel 4 and Spy In The Wild looks brilliant on BBC1. Anyway, tonight we are sticking with Jon Hamm (left), David Tennant and Michael Sheen. Having followed the wrong boy for years, Aziraphale and Crowley must now try to locate the whereabouts of the real Antichrist. The pair head back to Tadfield, to the old convent and site of the baby-swap, only to discover it no longer exists.

Health: Trust Me, I’m A Doctor, BBC2, 8pm

We would trust a man with a moustache like Dr Alain Gregoire (left) implicitly. However, his fabulous facial hair is not the topic of this programme. He investigates the future technology that could spot signs of dementia before it develops. Elsewhere, Zoe Williams reveals a new treatment for the skin condition psoriasis, Guddi Singh finds out the best way to calm a crying baby and Michael Mosley tests whether diet can affect mental health.

Property: Kirstie And Phil’s Love It Or List It, C4, 8pm

The 9pm slot is packed with great shows and the same can be said for an hour earlier. Kirstie Allsopp (above) and Phil Spencer meet a couple in Rushden, Northamptonshire, who are unsure whether they should renovate their current home or sell up and move into another. Susan and John are torn over their unique five-bed character home, so Kirstie and Phil offer their expert advice.

Travel: Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad, ITV, 8pm

For the next leg of their journey, Bradley and Barney visit the Red River Gorge in Kentucky, before heading to the supposedly haunted Poasttown Elementary School in Middletown, Ohio. The next day, they travel to Louisville, birthplace of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali, where they follow in his footsteps by sparring at the local boxing gym with Carlos and Jim Dixon (both above with the Walshes).

Documentary: 999: What’s Your Emergency, C4, 10pm

The return of the documentary following the brave work of the emergency services in Northamptonshire. This edition focuses on the demise of the Great British high street – with many town centres hotbeds of antisocial behaviour, crime and violence. PCs Louise O’Sullivan and Sean Whelan (right) attend a call from a distraught homeless man, who has taken refuge in a shop after being threatened with a knife in a horrific ordeal.
