I saw Duke and Virginia in that nightclub... and trod on his foot

- By Christopher Bucktin

PRINCE Andrew’s denial he was with one of Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged sex abuse victims in a London nightclub has been disputed by a witness, who claims she trod on his foot.

Virginia Giuffre said she was left “horrified and ashamed” after an alleged sexual encounter with the Duke of York in London in 2001.

She claims she was loaned out on three separate occasions for sex, one of which took place after she visited Tramp nightclub in London with the royal.

Now US lawyer Lisa Bloom, who is representing five alleged victims of late billionaire sex offender Epstein, says she has found two witnesses who were in Tramp nightclub that night, who both claim they saw Prince Andrew there.

The attorney said of one: “She was there in the nightclub. She stepped on the foot of someone that was dancing next to her. She said, ‘I’m sorry.’ He said, ‘That’s OK.’ And her friend said, ‘Do you realise you are dancing with a member of the Royal Family?’”

Ms Bloom said the woman had never met a royal, adding: “It was a big moment for her.

“She stared at him, she gawked at him because it was a prince.

“She gawked at who he was with and it was a young girl about her age.”

The woman “identifies that girl as Virginia” and had “come forward because she thinks this is important”.

Ms Bloom said the woman came forward because she was “incensed” that Andrew had denied meeting Ms Giuffre in his Newsnight interview.

She added: “Because he is a very powerful person, she is in fear of the repercussions to her.”

Ms Bloom said she had relayed the story to the FBI, and that the witness was willing to speak to them. She said: “If and when a case proceeds against Prince Andrew, it’s understood that she would be willing to do that.”

Ms Giuffre, now 36, said Prince Andrew was “the most hideous dancer I’ve ever seen in my life” and claimed “his sweat was raining, basically, everywhere”.

The Duke has said the alleged encounter in 2001 did not happen as he had spent that day with his daughter, Princess Beatrice, taking her to Pizza Express inWoking for a party.

He also said he does not recall meeting Ms Giuffre and having their picture taken together.

Andrew also said he had a medical condition at the time which meant he did not sweat, after suffering an overdose of adrenaline in the Falklands War.

He has vehemently denied Ms Giuffre’s claims and has said he is willing to help the investigation if required.

Last week, however, federal prosecutor Geoffrey Berman claimed Andrew had provided “zero co-operation” to the FBI agents probing Epstein’s crimes.

Prince Andrew stepped down from royal public life in November after the fallout from his disastrous Newsnight appearance.
