Kate’s getting married... to her husband!
IT seems Kate Garraway has plenty to smile about as she gears up to marry her husband – for a second time and launching a new show.
The Good Morning Britain host is all set for wedding No 2 to Derek Draper, 52, her hubby since September 2005. And their teenage daughter Darcey will be making all the arrangements.
Kate, 52, says: “She’s 13, so it could be interesting.”
Tough
The hitch could come because Darcey may be intending for her mum to be the image of American model Kendall Jenner.
Kate, married to ITV boss Ian Rumsey for four years until 2002, adds: “Darcey will probably want me to look like Kendall, which is going to be tough — I would love to look like her as well.”
Whoever she is expected to look like, Kate, who also has a 10-year-old son Bill, reveals that she feels as sexy as ever. She insists: “Whatever age you are, if you feel good in an outfit, or if you feel good generally, then it always comes across as attractive.
“I think being comfortable is definitely the way to go – and that gives you confidence to just enjoy life.
“It’s always sexier when people look like they are having fun, whatever age.”
Viewers took to Kate when she appeared last November on I’m A Celebrity – but she reveals that her time on the reality show did give her life a “massive jolt”.
She explains: “I’ve been reminded of the important things, such as friends and family. It made me realise that being a bit braver sometimes, and allowing myself to be a bit scared is not the end of the world.”
On a professional level, Kate is reuniting with jungle pal Myles Stephenson for a one-hour Saturday morning show, Breakfast at Garraway’s, which will launch next month on ITV.
She says: “We will have everything you need for a great weekend. I will have the best guests dropping by to tell us what they do to make their weekends great and live their best life. I can’t wait.”
