Jagger can get some satisfaction at son’s online start me up

- By Steph Spyro

MICK Jagger looks every inch the proud father as he joins son Gabriel at the launch of his new media venture in London.

The Rolling Stones singer, 76, grins happily as he lends his support at the star-studded bash.

Gabriel, 22, has started the website Why Now, which offers uplifting articles for £3 a month.

He had trained as a journalist at The Times, owned by his stepfather Rupert Murdoch, before creating the site, which offers stories, videos and audio content.

A description on the website says: “We tell you personal, powerful and positive stories. No doom and gloom. We promise.

“We want to be a platform with good intentions, championing both established and upcoming people in the world of arts and culture.”

His father helped him celebrate the initiative with the party to kick it all off at Petersham Nurseries, in Richmond, south-west London, on Thursday night.

Mick cut a casual figure for the occasion, sporting a black and white jacket along with a pair of navy trousers and comfortable trainers.

Also in attendance was model and socialite Lady Mary Charteris, who looked chic in a black faux fur coat.

Gabriel is one of Mick’s eight children by five women, and one of the four children he had with US model Jerry Hall.

Jerry, 63, married media business magnate Rupert, 89, in March 2016 at the Church of St Bride, in Fleet Street, London.

She had been married to Mick from 1990 to 1999.

Their other children together are daughters Elizabeth, 36, and Georgia, 28, and son James, 34.
