Mission Impossible? Tom’s race to finish film

- By

TOM Cruise threw himself back into work on his new movie after it switched from Italy to England due to coronavirus.

The actor, 57, still insists on doing his own stunts – and pulled a spectacular motorcycle wheelie as filming resumed on Mission: Impossible 7.

Producers had called a halt to production of the blockbuster in Venice last month and are now using the Dunsfold test track in Surrey, home of BBC’s Top Gear.

Cruise donned a helmet and padded jacket to perform motorbike stunts before he squeezed into a tiny bashed-up Fiat 500 car.

A plane emblazoned with Royal Air Force logos, a helicopter and a Mini were also spotted on set as crews raced to get as much footage as they could, amid extremely uncertain times for the movie industry.

Yesterday, the Daily Express reported that production delays of just one month could cost the US movie and television industry up to £14billion.

sequence. For the car, he donned a beanie hat, and was seen in the driver’s seat with another man, in blue clothing.

While the outdoor scenes were performed in Surrey yesterday, it is understood that the majority of filming will relocate to

Pinewood

Studios, in Buckinghamshire.

The facility has earned a reputation as the home of some of the biggest global movie franchises, including Star Wars and James Bond films.

Cruise has appeared in every one of the action spy series and the latest is directed by Christopher McQuarrie – who was also behind the hit film The Usual Suspects.

Mission: Impossible 7 had originally been scheduled for a summer 2021 release before the recent production issues.
