Julie's easy exercises to stay fit at home

-

IT IS important when staying at home to keep moving – for the benefit of your physical and mental health.

So the Daily Express has teamed up with award-winning fitness coach Julie Bartlett to bring you some beneficial exercises.

If you have been following Julie’s routine, you are now ready for a little more intensity to work your heart and lungs and increase your aerobic

fitness as well as your strength. We will now be doing 10-12 repetitions of each exercise.

Please watch the short descriptive videos before participating and you will see the different options available: express.co.uk/videos/6151022697001/ Workout-at-home-Set-of-12-exercisesyou-can-do-in-lockdown

All the exercises shown are designed to get you moving, increase your heart rate a little and strengthen and tone your body. If you have any medical conditions, please check with your doctor before participating.

Julie says: “These exercises are simply designed to get you moving. You won’t need any fancy equipment and just wear something loose and comfortable.

“Simply grab two tins or two plastic bottles filled with liquid and you’re ready to start. If you want to make it harder, then make your movements bigger or do more repetitions. To make it easier, do less and build up. Remember to warm up and cool down with gentle stretches.”

You can do Julie’s easy-to-follow workouts day-by-day, or collect all the exercises and build them into a longer workout.
