Claim I had affair with Epstein’s pal Ghislaine is total lie, fumes Clinton

- By Christopher Bucktin US Editor

BILL Clinton has been forced to deny claims he had an affair with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged “madam” Ghislaine Maxwell.

The former US president allegedly grew close to the British socialite as the two shared a mutual friendship with the late sex offender, it is claimed.

A new book, A Convenient Death: The Mysterious Demise of Jeffrey Epstein, alleges Clinton and Maxwell enjoyed trysts while overseas.

The pair have previously been seen in a picture on the paedophile’s private jet.

Yesterday, a spokesman for Clinton, 73, denied the allegations.

He said: “It’s a total lie today, it’s a total lie tomorrow, and it’ll be a total lie years from now.”

Maxwell’s lawyer, Laura Menninger, did not respond to requests for comment.

The upcoming book, by journalists Alana Goodman and Daniel Halper, claims Clinton “sneaked out” to visit the socialite at her Manhattan home.

One source said in an interview: “Bill and Ghislaine were getting it on. “That’s why he was around Jeffrey Epstein – to be with her.”

The book, which is out on June 2, claims the ex-president’s interest in Epstein was the Briton, who later attended his daughter Chelsea’s wedding.

Maxwell, 58, is the daughter of the controversial late media tycoon Robert Maxwell.

She is said to have once dated Epstein and has been accused in court of helping procure victims for him to abuse.

Clinton and Maxwell were once spotted dining together at Manhattan’s Nello restaurant, according to a 2002 New York Magazine article.

It is alleged the closeness between the pair was known in New York society circles. Clinton has been married to former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton since 1975.

In 1998, he admitted having an “inappropriate relationship” with 22-year-old White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

It was allegedly through Maxwell that Prince Andrew, 60, began his friendship with Epstein. The paedophile, 66, committed suicide last August while awaiting trial for underage sex trafficking.
