Anger over lack of coast patrols

THE Royal National Lifeboat Institution has come under fire for suspending coastal patrols despite thousands flocking to beaches.

Just 17 beaches will be patrolled this weekend after the service was suspended in March.

Oliver Huntsman of Bude Surf Life Saving Club said: “They (RNLI) have had eight weeks with beaches being effectively closed to sort out a plan.”
