CHARLTON fans fear Huw Jenkins may halt his takeover of the struggling Championship club.

Major doubts have emerged after another possible buyer, Laurence Bassini, pulled out of a potential £1.2million deal. With £500,000 needed by the end of this week to pay wages and cover other debts and the EFL’s ongoing investigation into current owners East Street Investment, Jenkins said: “It needs more consideration. Will Charlton be in the Championship or League One, will supporters be let back in? You can’t hide from those things.”
