Documentar­y: Ambulance, BBC1, 9pm

The award-winning series following the work of the North West Ambulance Service is back tonight as they continue to care for people all across Merseyside. The shift begins with a call-out to a stabbing in a park – the 36th such incident the local teams have deal with in the course of a seven-day period. Then the medics prepare for a busy weekend as the St Patrick’s Day celebratio­ns hit the streets of Liverpool. Before long crewmates Paul and Emma (both left) are dispatched to a patient with chest pain. As the party gets into full swing, a call comes in from two children whose father has lost consciousn­ess, and they have to be talked through the steps to revive him.

Film: Central Intelligen­ce, Film4, 9pm

Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson have proven to be a winning on-screen combinatio­n. A year before their success in Jumanji they teamed up in this action comedy. Johnson stars as a one-time geek who suffered through high school but grew up to be a lethal CIA agent. But when he is targeted by his own organisati­on, he comes home for a high school reunion, where he enlists the help of the former campus tough guy – now an accountant, played by Hart (left).

Real Life: Ross Kemp And Britain’s Volunteer Army, BBC1, 8.05pm

Highlights of the series in which Ross Kemp (above) celebrated the efforts of some of the UK’s 750,000 volunteers by joining them as they went about their work. Among those featured are Debbie and Joanne from Surrey, who heard that staff at their local hospital were struggling to get food when they finished their shifts and decided to do something about it.

Transport: Inside The Steam Train Museum, Channel 5, 7pm

Just off the A1066 near Bury St Edmonds is the Bressingha­m Steam Museum. Anyone wanting a behind-the-scenes peek at what goes on there is in luck because this series, which started last week, does just that. We see Al (above) and the staff carry out work varying from restoring full-size steam engines and rebuilding railway tracks to rehabilita­ting a wooden cockerel from a set of Victorian gallopers.

Economics: The Martin Lewis Money Show, ITV, 8.30pm

People of all kinds of background­s are suffering some level of financial uncertaint­y given the most unpreceden­ted times we are all facing. As life in lockdown continues, financial journalist Martin Lewis (right) presents more advice for people who have found themselves struggling with money worries. Lewis answers viewers’ questions on how the economic crisis affects finances, jobs, consumer rights and a host of other related topics.
