Extra life for senior cats with CurcuCat

- By Deborah Stone

AGE COMES to us all – and that means cats too! The kitten you once couldn’t stop climbing up trees has slowed down. Even jumping on to your lap for that evening cuddle seems like too much trouble.

Yet there is a helping hand that’s more than a friendly stroke or tickle of the chin.

CurcuCat, based on a highly absorbable science-backed turmeric supplement for humans, is becoming a big hit in the feline world after dramatically improving the quality of life for senior cats.

“Olly who is 10, was struggling to enjoy life like he used to,” says Jackie Stephens from theWest Midlands.

“My husband found information online about this special turmeric for pets, so we thought we’d give it a try.

“Olly completely perked up and is now running around the garden again – it’s been absolutely brilliant.”

Sarah Clemens from Cornwall agrees. “I noticed Patch, who’s 12, was finding it difficult to jump on to the windowsill to look outside,” she says. “I had tried her on another cat supplement, but she didn’t like its strong smell.

“This tablet was great as it doesn’t smell at all and I had no problem giving it to her. I simply crush it and sprinkle it over her food.

“Patch is now taking more interest in her toys – as well as trying to catch my cotton when I’m sewing!”

Carol Lavender, a retired teacher from Kent, says CurcuCat helped 11-year-old Alice. “Alice had trouble with her right shoulder for a couple of years,” she says.

“I was so impressed I recommended the dog version to my sister who has seven dogs – she now swears by it.”

CurcuCat creator, FutureYou Cambridge, one of the country’s leading nutritional supplement companies, have long sold a scientifically-proven product for humans, Turmeric+. Both products contain curcumin, an Indian spice commonly used in joint supplements. The difference between Turmeric+ and other standard turmeric supplements is that it’s 30 times more absorbable (bioavailable).

“We decided to create CurcuCat as an easy-to-absorb turmeric product especially for cats,” says FutureYou CEO, Adam Cleevely.

“It works in a natural way and contains curcumin, the key ingredient in turmeric.

“Our customers tell us how easy it is to feed such a small tablet that has no smell. The feedback has been incredible.

“CurcuCat follows hard on the heels of our turmeric supplement for dogs, Curcupet-K9, which we introduced last year in response to customer demand. We felt it only fair that cats shouldn’t miss out.”
