Motion is all for Sharing

- By The Scout

BRITISH-born Graham Motion, one of the leading trainers in the States, can make it successful return to his homeland with Sharing in today’s Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.

His previous Ascot runners, Animal Kingdom and Miss Temple City (ran twice), both bombed out but he has the perfect candidate in SHARING (2.25, nap).

Last season, she slammed Daahyeh at the Breeders’ Cup meeting. Daahyeh previously chased home 1,000 Guineas winner Love at the Curragh in September.

The St James’s Palace Stakes is very much a re-run of the 2,000 Guineas with the second, Wichita, third, Pinatubo, 10th Royal Dornoch, and 11th, Arizona, taking each other on again.

As there is very little separating them, PALACE PIER (3.00), unbeaten in his three races, is worth a punt.

The good to soft ground will give ONE MASTER (3.35, treble) an edge in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes.

She was unlucky behind Donjuan Triumphant on her final start at this track in October when encountering traffic problems.

On that occasion she had the majority of today’s field in her slipstream.

A drop in trip should suit course winner BLUE MIST (12.40) in the opener. Roger Charlton’s five-yearold was runner-up over 7f at Newbury after 10 months on the sidelines. Aidan O’Brien, below, can continue his domination with his juveniles with MORE BEAUTIFUL (1.15) and ADMIRAL NELSON (1.50). Both made impressive winning racecourse debuts. JACK’S POINT (4.10) can be rewarded for his second behind Motakhayyel on Tuesday by taking the Wokingham Stakes.

The versatile WHO DARES WINS (4.40), successful over fences, hurdles and on the Flat, will be hard to catch in the finale.
