Amber alert! Team Heard hits the town
AMBER Heard was out on the town with her girl gang as the explosive libel trial against her ex-husband Johnny Depp drew to a close.
The actress, 34, looked in high spirits as she strolled through Soho in central London after 16 days of testimony at the High Court.
Dressed in black with her wavy locks tied up in a casual bun, Ms Heard was joined by her partner Bianca Butti and sister Whitney Henriquez, who also gave evidence at the trial, lawyer Jennifer Robinson and other members of “Team Heard” after dining at a Japanese restaurant.
Hours earlier, Ms Heard fought back tears on the steps of London’s High Court, saying: “It has been incredibly painful to relive the break-up of my relationship. I stand by my testimony and I now place my faith in British justice.” Her speech was met with boos and heckles from Mr Depp’s fans. The Aquaman actress has been dating Ms Butti, who works in the film industry, since January this year.
Since divorcing the Pirates Of The Caribbean star in 2017, Ms Heard has been romantically linked to filmmaker Andy Muschietti, art dealer Vito Schnabel and billionaire Elon Musk.
Mr Depp, 57, is suing News Group Newspapers over a 2018 article that branded him a wife beater. Heard testified that Mr Depp was violent towards her on 14 occasions.
He denied her allegations, with his barrister David Sherborne saying Ms Heard is a “compulsive liar”. A decision is expected by September.
Mr Depp also plans to sue his ex-wife for £39million in a separate case in the US.
