PRINCE ANDREW Shock new sex claims

- From Christopher Bucktin US Editor in New York

PRINCE Andrew has been named as one of the powerful individuals Jeffrey Epstein’s sex slave was forced to sleep with in documents Ghislaine Maxwell fought to suppress.

The royal is named repeatedly in 617 newly unsealed legal papers in which he is alleged to have taken part “in an orgy” with girls under 18 on his paedophile friend’s private island.

A lawyer for Epstein’s victims has insisted the Duke of York must now “step forward, be a man and speak the truth about what he knows” of the dead sex offender’s sordid affairs.

Attorney Spencer Kuvin said: “I have always known that numerous other coconspirators and perpetrators have been involved in the sex ring controlled by Jeffrey Epstein.

“It is our hope that the full breadth of Epstein’s illicit sexual pyramid scheme will continue to unravel, and all those involved will eventually be exposed.”

Cowardly

He went on: “Prince Andrew has a lot to answer for, given these new revelations, and we continue to implore him to step forward, be a man, and speak the truth about what he knows. Hiding behind the monarchy is cowardly and far beneath his station, and he has frankly become an embarrassment to the Crown.”

In court papers released by a New York judge, Epstein’s sex slave Virginia Giuffre – referred to as Jane Doe No.3 – details how Maxwell, 58, used her connections to “facilitate” the duke’s “acts of sexual abuse.”

The documents, which form part of a 2015 defamation case settled two years later between Giuffre and Maxwell, claim: “One such powerful individual Epstein forced Jane Doe No.3 to have sexual relations with was a member of the British Royal Family, Prince Andrew.

“Jane Doe No.3 was forced to have sexual relations with this prince when she was a minor in three separate geographical locations: in London (at Ghislaine Maxwell’s apartment), in New York, and on Epstein’s private island in the US Virgin Islands (in an orgy with numerous other under-aged girls).

“Epstein instructed Jane Doe No.3 that she was to give the prince whatever he demanded and required [her] to report back to him on the details.

“Maxwell facilitated Prince Andrew’s acts of sexual abuse by acting as a ‘madame’ for Epstein.”

Giuffre, a mum of three, now 36 and living in Australia, claims she was loaned out to the duke, 60, on three separate occasions starting in 2001 when she was aged 17.

Prince Andrew and his legal team have vehemently denied all of her

claims, and he has said he does not recall ever meeting her. His team also suggested a picture of him and Giuffre may have been faked.

The prince’s friends yesterday rallied behind him. One said: “The US Federal Appeals court said in 2019 these allegations should be treated with ‘extreme caution’. Allegations are not the same as facts. Let’s see if these allegations stand-up because precious few about the duke do.”

Their statement added the “allegation is a straightforward untruth. No ifs, no buts.” In response to claims he lobbied for Epstein as the American brokered a plea deal, a spokesman declined to comment.

The Palace has previously said “any suggestion of impropriety with underage minors” is “categorically untrue”. The duke’s legal team also rubbished claims there had been a “wall of silence”, accusing US officials of “seeking publicity rather than accepting the assistance proffered”. Maxwell, the daughter of disgraced tycoon Robert Maxwell, was arrested by the FBI earlier this month on suspicion of grooming and abusing three girls under 18. Four charges relate to the years 1994-97 when she was, according to the indictment, among 66-year-old Epstein’s closest associates and still “intimate” with him.

Maxwell has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled to face trial in New York next July. If found guilty, she faces up to 35 years in prison.

Her lawyers have claimed she had not spoken to Epstein for 10 years, but the unsealed files reveal the pair had been in contact as late as 2015, with Epstein telling her: “You have done nothing wrong” and adding in an email sent at 4.41am on January 25, 2015: “I woudl [sic] urge you to start acting like it. Go outside, head high, not as an escaping esacping [sic] convict. Go to parties. Deal with it.”

Following Epstein’s suicide last August while awaiting trial for underage sex trafficking, US attorney general Bill Barr warned the paedophile’s alleged coconspirators they “should not rest easy”.

Lawyer Arick Fudali who represents his victims said: “Epstein was the most prolific sexual predator of our time. He used his wealth and power to ruin countless lives.”
