Faldo to wed former topless dancer... and become her 7th husband

- By Christopher Bucktin, US Editor

SIR Nick Faldo is to wed his “ex-topless dancer” girlfriend – and will become her seventh husband.

The golf legend, 63, and fiancee Lindsay De Marco will have walked down the aisle 11 times between them when they tie the knot.

One of her ex-husbands yesterday wished Nick good luck, calling the couple “golf’s answer to Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton”.

The pair shared their news across social media, with pictures showing off Lindsay’s diamond ring as they tenderly touched heads.

Last year, it emerged Nick was dating Lindsay, 56, who has drug convictions and reportedly once made her living as a topless dancer.

When approached, she denied having worked as a dancer, saying, “Oh my gosh!” several times before stating: “No.”

But ex-husband Randy Heine – who was married to her twice – has claimed she performed as “Toni” in the mid-’80s at his club in Florida called Astra Bar.

Randy, who previously claimed his ex-wife kept trading husbands because she was “consumed” with climbing the social ladder, advised Nick to get a “prenup”.

On seeing the couple’s picture, the 68-year-old said: “Good for them. It’ll be her seventh marriage. They are like golf’s answer to Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. That’s a lot of marriages.

“I’d love to have a sit down with Nick even though he won’t listen to me.

“I’d like to bring him up to date about how long his marriage might last and how much he’ll have to pay out.

“I’d tell him, ‘Be ready to cut a cheque for five to 10 million bucks for when she walks out the door’.”

Nick, said to be worth around £38million, lives with Lindsay in their £2million Ponte Vedra bungalow in Florida. The wedding will be his fourth.

His marriage to first wife Melanie Rockall ended after four years when it was reported he had checked into a hotel with another woman who had claimed to be “Mrs Faldo”.

He married his then-manager’s secretary Gill Bennett in 1986, and they had three children.

But it ended in an estimated £7million divorce when Nick took up with 20-year-old golf student Brenna Cepelak in 1995.

In turn, Brenna was furious when Nick left her three years later for Swiss PR consultant-Valerie Bercher.

Of his subsequent marriage to Valerie, he said at the time: “This one is going to last.” But they too divorced in May 2006.

He is said to have first met Lindsay several years ago.

Nick now works as a golf analyst for CBS Sports in the US.
