HE WAS the youngest of the Trump siblings, the one considered the quietest, most talented and most down-to-earth of them all.

Real-estate developer and business executive Robert Trump may have been a member of one of the world’s most powerful dynasties but was known as “the nice Trump” during his time managing the Atlantic City casino for the Trump Organisation in the 1980s.

Family biographer Gwenda Blair said: “Robert was the one that people would try to get to intervene if there was a problem.”

He was born in Queens, New York City, the youngest son of Fred Trump and Mary Anne MacLeod.

Donald, the fourth youngest sibling, admitted bullying Robert as a child.

He once stole his building blocks and glued them together for the “beautiful building” he was creating.

“And that was the end of Robert’s blocks”, he wrote in his book, The Art Of The

Deal. In another passage, he stated Robert was the only man he ever called “honey”.

Robert studied economics at Boston University before beginning his career on Wall Street. He oversaw the opening of Atlantic City’s Trump Taj Mahal casino but walked out a week later after the slot machines jammed on the opening weekend.

Donald publicly criticised his brother over the debacle causing Robert huge upset.

The two were believed to have been estranged for several years afterwards.

Robert served as the vice-president of the Trump real estate business and reconciled with his brother when he launched his 2016 presidential campaign.

In March 2020, he married long-term girlfriend and former secretary Anne Marie Pallan. He died as a result of internal bleeding following a recent fall.
