High time the BBC woke up
Where is the justice in this?
HEART-BREAKING enough that Lissie Harper has to live the rest of her life knowing that two of the scumbags who killed her beloved husband, PC Andrew Harper, got as little as 13 years in jail.
Now she discovers they and the other toerag who got 16 years received £465,000 in legal aid and will be given a whole lot more for their appeals.
It’s beyond sickening we now have a criminal justice system that is monstrously skewed in favour of the perpetrators of crime rather than the victims.
These thugs showed not one scintilla of remorse and smirked their way through their trial, contemptuous of a system that paid half-a-million quid for their defence.
Lissie Harper, meanwhile, will receive a risible amount in compensation and will be left to deal with the loss of her husband with little or no help from the state. It just isn’t fair!

KEIRA Knightley must be feeling very stupid. Having narrated a film for Extinction Rebellion, no doubt to boost her “Right On” credentials, she now has to deal with the embarrassment of the film being ditched because of its extreme and inaccurate claims about the end of humanity.
When the filmmakers were asked to substantiate their claims, they couldn’t which kinda suggests someone made them up.
It’s a lesson for all those celebs who throw themselves on “worthy” bandwagons, propagandising a cause they know very little about in the hope it will make them look clever and relevant.
I think the term is “useful idiots”.

THOSE on low incomes who have to go in quarantine will be paid £132 for their 10-day isolation while those who have come into contact with them will get £182.
Do the idiots coming up with these crackpot plans really imagine the kind of people breaking quarantine rules will stick to them because someone throws money at them?
They won’t. They’ll go to the pub and infect more people while they spend it. Instead of pandering to these Covidiots, how about telling those who break quarantine they’ll be removed from their homes and forcibly quarantined so they can’t kill other people?
IF this week has taught me anything, it’s that we must face down the people who hate and continuously denigrate this country. I’m talking about those who see national pride as racist and offensive and who are stupid enough to imagine that because people 200 years ago didn’t live according to 21st century values, they must be condemned as racist blaggards and be constantly apologised for.
Boris was spot on when he lambasted the gutless BBC for caving into to the woke morons who decided to ban singing the words of Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and Glory at the Proms: “It’s time we stopped this cringing embarrassment about our history, our traditions and our culture and stopped this general fight of selfrecrimination and wetness.” The Proms is a spectacle enjoyed by millions all over the world. But it takes a special kind of lunatic to believe that singing “Britons never, never, never shall be slaves” is meant to imply other people should be.
And what kind of idiot believes that people singing Land of Hope and Glory want to recreate an empire dismantled 50 years ago? But still the woke brigade screams: “Those songs celebrate slavery.”
If these numpties knew their history, they’d know that Rule Britannia’s got nothing to do with enslavement and was written to celebrate Alfred the Great’s defeat of theVikings.
And incidentally, had it not been for Britannia Ruling the Waves, Britain wouldn’t have been able to abolish slavery in 1807 and the Navy couldn’t have rescued 150,000 African slaves being transported on the high seas.
But why is it that the Wokerati – a hysterical minority that never misses a chance to demonise this country as a land of hate and racism – is being allowed to influence decisions that affect the majority? Why are we listening to people who want to destroy our culture and traditions and who think Britain is a racist cesspit?
Yes, we have a complex national history – but show me a country 200 years ago that didn’t engage in slavery, war and terror and violence.While we cannot right the wrongs of our past, we can learn from them.
And Britain has, which is why I’m heartily sick of being told I must be ashamed of a history I can do nothing about by idiots who are ignorant of it.
As writer Inaya Folarin Iman, whose mum came here from Nigeria and still believes Britain IS a Land of Hope, said this week: “Teaching a narrative of cultural self-loathing doesn’t help a single ethnic minority life.”
As for those gutless BBC bosses using Covid as an excuse to ban the words of much-loved songs, Boris was right – they’re weasley and wet.
