- News Reporter

A BOY aged 13 who fathered a child after his babysitter seduced him has been traumatised, his mother said.

He is not allowed to see his adopted daughter but “he remembers every birthday”.

Leah Cordice, 20, groomed the victim with treats and sending him “cute” texts before pouncing after a drunken night out in January 2017.

He was playing Xbox when she pulled down his trousers.

Cordice, a trusted friend of the family, first claimed her husband was the father.

But the victim had always had an inkling the child was his and had bonded with her.

He denied any involvement when police questioned him over a claim Cordice, of Windsor, Berks, had sex with a boy.

A DNA test was carried out after the victim’s mother ran out of a party after being “congratulated” for being a grandmother.

Liar

He admitted the relationship when his mother confronted him.

Cordice was found guilty of sexual activity with a child and jailed for two- and- a- half years at Reading Crown Court in May.

The boy’s mother, who is remaining anonymous to protect her son’s identity, told of the attacker’s “zero remorse”.

She said: “When she got found out she even tried to say that my son had raped her. I’m just so livid at all she’s put him through. She’s a compulsive liar.

“Having my grandchild taken away, my son becoming a dad at such a young age, it’s been incredibly traumatic for us all.”

A court psychologist diagnosed the victim with separation anxiety.

The woman added: “My son will now only be allowed to meet his daughter again when she’s 18. It devastated him, he had a breakdown.

“He’s finally accepted that he didn’t do anything wrong and that she is with a good family. The worst of it is having his daughter taken. He remembers every birthday.”
