England stalwart Henderson admitted the league champions are not firing on all cylinders. “I would say that the performance levels haven’t been up to our standards in the past few weeks,” he said.

“We just showed that we have got to keep going, working hard and improving.

“It’s a strange season for everyone this year, I feel. We will not stop now.

“We cannot be too down. Yes, we want to win and we tried our best.

“We couldn’t find the goal to make it happen but, ultimately, there’s still a long way to go, still a lot of points to play for. We’ll give everything right until the end.”
