HEAVY BURDEN ON HIS SHOULDERS
BORIS Johnson struck a solitary pose as he prepared to address MPs about Covid-19 – the day after the death toll topped 100,000.
He stood momentarily outside the doors to the Commons chamber before facing Prime Minister’s Questions.
Mr Johnson said he “deeply, personally” regretted the loss of life and suffering. The normally packed chamber had a handful of MPs attending with the rest on a video link.
